Castles heavily based on RCT2 are as you say, pretty awesome to theme a candy land!

Update 74

Improvements for the color picker have been on our list for a long time and it gets requested a lot lately, so we started working on that. We still need to clean it up and make it look nice, so here???s just a screenshot of the current work-in-progress state:
Image

There are new tools for picking colors from existing objects and recoloring them, and palettes can be saved.

Objects can have varying amounts of custom colors (1-4), which made designing the user experience for this window surprisingly difficult. I???m not entirely satisfied with how it currently works, but we got some ideas how to improve it. A couple more days of thinking and work and it should be fine :)

As a nice side-effect, with a little extra work we could also make these tools work for changing the colors of individual track segments and coaster cars:

I've been working on a park for a while now, and I figured I'd drop some teasers. The current name is "Meta World", but that's subject to change.

Any feedback or comments are always appreciated, and I'd like to give the file out to some testers as I complete it.

Logflume looks huge! :D

One suggestion - the park in pictures 2 and 3 looks very "concrete jungle". Looks like you've got a 3 wide pathway there - worth adding some trees / flowers down the middle to help the asthetic (and the random wandering pathfinding hah)

Another video form the guy above - but check out what he does with those long 3 wide paths to make them more interesting! (1:39)

It's kinda meant to be that way. I may go back and theme it, but it's supposed to be a conversion from the old parking lot.

I'm so bad at this game. I'm 25000 in debt and my first roller coaster was less intense than the Top Spin

Well, I personally think that the suitable term for "Top Spin" is "berserk" rather than intense. I do know that those crazy flips are really violent!

;)

There is a mod that allows for diagonal supports as a building tool so you can place supports that way. They also have truss structures for vertical lifts and stuff too.

This somehow reminds me of "Calamity Mine" in RCT2. My personal memory! :)

Downloaded! Question, did Escape stop working for you guys with alpha 5? I only get the screen blurred when I press it and no longer the typical Escape menu :(
