Mean Streak and Gwazi

I tell you, I think Cedar Point's Mean Streak and Busch Garden Tampa Bay's Gwazi are two of the most underrated wooden coasters out there. I might be biased or inexperienced, but few wooden tracks I have seen even come close to the Mean Streak! Is it the rougher ride that turns people off??

Well iv been on Mean Streak and what I hated about it was that it was so BIG and it didn't have anything exciting to it. It was over-hyped by its size but there was no airtime at all.

Visually the coaster looks great though.

Mean Streak is not under-rated. It is just rated. Awfully.

Gwazi on the other hand, as far as I know, isn't under-rated at all. I'm sure most people don't think it's bad. It's one of my favorites ever. Both Tiger and Lion made it onto my top 10...

I didnt think Mean Streak was painful at all. It was just as rough as all woodies should be imo. Uneventful is the word I described it as.

no, last time i rode mean streak, i got off sore.
the turns are octagon shaped.
they arent round one bit.
layout wise its ok, would possibly be great ride if they re-tracked it.

i say tear mean streak out its not exciting at all and i think last time i rode it i dislocated my spinal column ( not really but ) ya tear it down put something amazing in

Mean Streak sucks......it's tall but its boring and forceless. I liked Blue Streak a LOT better than Mean Streak....

Mean streak is slow, rough, abusive, well icould go on all day. You want a real wooden rollercoaster? Ride NMR in abq or The boss at sfstl. Both of thoes rides will blow you away if you like Ms. I hate mean streak. They need to burn it down and put a good twister in its place.

Ya, Jensen is correct, that rumor about retracking meanstreak was false. They replaced a crap ton of rotting wood on gemeni.
