Tarantulas

So, anyone else here have a tarantula?

Mine's an Avicularia Metallica, and it just molted today...
It's still a sling, and it only got the metallic blue color with this last molt.

I'm planning on getting a spider or two more over the summer, probably a brachypelma, or maybe a chromatopelma cyanopubescence. Was thinking about poecilotherias, but yeah, I won't go there yet. They are pretty beautiful tho...

I have a small Arachnophobia,but this looks pretty cool.

A member by the name of vampire is very fond of spiders. [:D]

Spiders are cool. Spider-Man 1, 2, &3, not cool. Got some on the back porch, saw a few insect catches too, really awesome to watch a spider just pounce a trapped fly. So fast.

Well, it hasn't eaten since I got it, since it was in the premolt stage, but I have a mealworm colony, with the occasional cricket i borrowed from my friend available for her to eat!
Should start feeding her in the next couple of days!

They (spiders) get rid of worse things so whenever I find a spider at home they have three opportunities to climb onto a piece of paper and get thrown outside before I squash them.
