Breaking News! The planned to be closed for good Battlestar Galactica coaster at Universal Studios Singapore is planning on re-opening the coaster after all!
2 signs have been placed in front of the coaster showing how Universal plans to re-open the ride soon! This is fantastic news, as this was an awesome and unique coaster! In addition, it also the first we have heard from the park directly about the fate of the coaster, which in this case, is posititve!

What do you think? Are you excited about this news? Let us know!

Here is a picture of the sign in front of the coaster...

Sounds like good news to me. If it's open I'd might plan a trip into that direction. :)

Great news! I think this was Vekoma's chance to prove that they can actually build a decent ride. If only they used the track and trains on their SLC's.

What exactly happened to the ride that made it close?

We're both sides closed or was it just the one?

Doesn't effect in the slightest. Not planning on going to Singapore.

The speed will get faster, they are just testing right now. When it opens they will increase the launch speed. :D

I got a feeling that it sped up a little bit, compared to when I first saw it running in the video. When it started testing 4 years ago or in 2010, it was like almost coming to a complete stop, specially at wide turns!

Personal coaster count as of 3/2025 -- 222
"500" perhaps by the end of this year.
I will be a Thai citizen if possible in a few years.
