If it doesn't fit and you're going to use force, than you put permanent stress and force on the track. Stuff which isn't calculated and eventually causing accidents.

Does anybody know what happened on the last piece of track yesterday? I sw on the webcam that they went to install it, then the crane lowered the track piece back down and it's still not installed. Did it not fit? What happened?

They did this because there was a media event for the last piece being installed today and they had to make sure the piece fit.
