I don't like setting release dates for projects. They limit creativity and add unneeded pressure to a free time activity.
I would love to have a story for the ride, however contrary to my previous projects, the story will come AFTER most of the theming has been completed. I'm using all kinds of media as inspiration, including Far Cry 3, Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Paris, and a themed CoasterDynamix project I saw on YouTube. The project has been literal magic so far, everything is just kind of working. I haven't hit many hiccups, but I also haven't taken much time to stop and think about what I'm doing.
Not the best game plan, but it's been working out pretty well so far!
