I agree. It's a little watermelon like, but it's not too bright at least. Maybe it's along the line of the whole "six flags bright colors pop in your face" sort of thing, and it certainly distinguishes the tracks when standing far away.

The red is decent, and the green is okay. But supports should (usually) never be the same color as the track, and they did that with both of them, and then they slapped all four of those no-no's together. I guess it is in China so I suppose the smog might make the colors impossible to see unless you are 3 feet away.

That looks interesting with all the concrete around it. I wonder how this one will be themed.

Traintastic: I have a question for you. Who even are you? Like, I've been on this site for, like, 10 years. I take a break for a bit, and, like, you're the news guy. Where did you come from, what happened? I like your name by the way.

By the way, I hear those were knockoff's. Anyway, if not, the track quality looks a little worse than the Italian one and certainly pointless layout. I mean, the whole disorientating car prop is cool, but other than that, it sucks. It's like a race down a hill, for a ride you drive? And the first half is a slow lift.

A bit out of context but....
What surprises me the most is that not only this "thing" is a knockoff, but they managed to open it apparently non long after it was built, also while working on other huge attractions in the same time.
While Desmo Race @ Mirabilandia was advertised since April and it's still "testing" without an official opening date!.... I keep reading comment of people getting mad for false advertisement from the park. Apparently Mirabilandia has an History of delayed opening.... It should open in few weeks but they said the same 2 months ago.

Just wow, these knockoffs seem to go a lot slower than any of the Maurer ones tho.

I'm excited to see if there's any shaping differences in the Impulse compared to the old generation. And of course, what it will look like with the double spine!

I want to give an update on two of the Sunac parks coming in the next few years. Firstly regarding Chengdu Sunac Land and it's main attraction, the Taron clone.

While it may not live up to the original, it looks like the park is going to make an effort to theme it up, as can be seen here:

There are also these CAD images of said Taron clone:

The park will also be home to 2 other coasters. This mine train which can be seen here...:

Image

Image

...and you can also make out a third coaster here in this aerial image, which looks like a wacky worm style layout (Probably from a chinese manufacturer):

Image

One other thing i would like to mention is that a new Sunac project has started up in Jinan and one of the coasters has already been confirmed of it. A mid-size wooden coaster from M&V/Gravity Group. Here's a few stats and some pieces of concept art for it:

Height: 23 Metres (75.5ft)
Speed: 74 kph (46 mph)
Length: 806m (2644.36ft)

Image

Image

That concludes this big update from Wanda/Sunac.

This is a very interesting video about their shortest-lived project, Wanda Movie Park. Explains what led to it's demise;

That Gravity Group layout looks great. Are the boat-themed Timberliners that GG showed at IAAPA coming to this ride? Looking at the theming, that would make sense. Would love to see those things come to a coaster at some point. :D

It wasn't for any coaster in particular, it was just there as a show train.

In the meantime, the trackwork for the Taron clone at Chengdu Sunac Land is now complete:

Meanwhile, one coaster that has gone under the radar until now is Wuxi Sunac Land's Zamperla Factory Coaster. For which, two new videos of it have now surfaced, one of which being a POV:

Looks like a funny ride, but the coaster parts in between look very tame?
