purplechicken project thread

I've been working on this park for quite a while. It's nowhere near being done. I still need to add buildings and restaurants and other things like that, plus a little bit of terrain work still needs to be done.

Here are some screenshots of some of the coasters in the park. None of them have names, so if you have any suggestions (or you want to see more pictures of individual rides), let me know.





































I'll probably be posting pictures of areas around the park tomorrow, and I'll try to keep this thread up to date.

You seem to like orange lol.

Aside from that everything looks really good. I honestly thought the first couple screens were Planet Coaster screenshots with some kind of killer support mod. Everything looks pretty realistic. Good job so far.

If I had one criticism I noticed the Premier is super dark and everything else is super bright. Are you using ultra black, like the blackest black the game allows? IDK if this is still true since the lightning update but moving the sliders to make it a bit less black makes the textures pop out a ton way more. Again IDK if the lighting update fixed that but it's a bit of an old trick.

Honestly, I didn't even realize how much orange there was until you said that. There's a lot of blue too.

I'm confused about what you mean by Premier. I don't have a Premier ride in this park. I'm assuming from context that you mean the massive launch coaster, correct?

Oh whoops that's an accelerator then. I assumed it was a Mr. Freeze-ish Premier tophat because of how you made the supports.

^It isn't the blackest that the game allows, but it is black. It's supposed to be black so you can't totally see it at night and it just looks like a massive looming shadow that you can hear but can't see.

The roll through the lift hill on Aphrodite looks really sick! Nice job!.

Here's an overview of the current layout of the park. I don't think I'm going to change the placement of any of the rides, but I do need to figure out where I want restaurants and shops and other things of the like. I can get a better/more detailed screenshot if this one is too bad.

Is it okay to have two of the same type of ride in a park? I've got a really long and drawn out invert that I want to put second gen trains on, but I also want to put in a far more intense and very compact invert.

Movie Park Germany has a SLC and a family inverted coaster. I think if they differ enough from each other it should be realistic.
