What put you off out of interest?
I started working on it, and for some reason, I just can't get into it. I noticed I have way more fun working on original ideas.

I see what you are saying. With a recreation you are limited to what has been done. I also would have put this off until opening day to plan the ride accordingly after riding and seeing it in person.
See if you can get your hands on a blueprint.
That's like finding a Waffle House with no white trash in it.
