So, those of you who have been reading the 'What are you doing in NL2 thread have probably seen that I am attempting an NL2 recreation of Scream! at SFMM. For the rest of you, yeah, I am. have been for quite some time. Here's the current state:

It seems a bit stretched out, the corkscrews are too short and the loop is too linear (round). All the shaping also looks very off for B&M. I understand this is just a first look, so hopefully you'll fix up those problems before releasing the ride, I'll definitely be looking over this topic since i'm pretty interested in what your doing. :)

Nope. I prefer the original colors. I used a Google aerial shot to gauge the ride area. It may be the angle of the pics that make it seem stretched out.

The turn after the MCBR is too stretched out, its more dramatic in real life.
the corkscrews look too short
Thanks for recreating a great ride.

Because you are using the google maps overview it's not much of a help due to the height and shadow distortion of the image. That is why is seems everything is stretched out. An original blueprint would be much better to use. Or you can try and eyeball the google image without the distortions.

And also the fact that Magic Mountain is a mountain doesn't help the google image distortion.

Yeah, it's a stand-up. I thought it'd be fun to see what Scream! would be like as a stand-up coaster, I was not disappointed. I take it from the tone in the above posts, I may be the only one.

Hell yes...
And since this is a recreation... shouldn't it be a floorless?

no longer a recreation. Now that that has been established, is the shaping looking any better?

The shaping on standups is even more exaggerated than the floorless track because of the heartline difference. Take a look at Mantis/Rougarou and Riddler's Revenge as a reference. It does still look a little stretched out and the banking needs to be tighter

So, I may or may not have trolled my own thread, just to get some sort of feedback, the "teaser" was in fact a joke. I fully intend to create an exact reproduction of Scream!. I have pics to prove it, latest progress. Never mind the support hits, the supports are NOT final anyway, just used for scale. So, here are the pics.

looks like a clearance issue on the first pick. also lighten up the colors a bit to look more faded. the blue looks too green/teal and the supports are too pink/purple. The colors in your very first post look better.

So, pay no attention to the white borders in the pic, just wanted too post a quick pic of some of the shaping with train testing. Anyone interested in doing a Beta test? only looking for trackwork feedback, supports will be re-done after trackwork is finalized. Still a HEAVY WIP, will be including a redone version of RR and include Colossus with the full release, because for me, Scream! looks too meh as a standalone coaster. Still working on the Parking lot texture for the ride are, as well as plan on adding a few .3ds for the maintenance and employee area that is directly adjacent to the Scream! ride area.
