Question about custom 3DS

If I create something in Google Sketchup, is the only way to get rid of the shadow problems in the simulator to run it through 3DS Max? If so, is there anyone here that could help me out with this? Thanks!

I too would like to see a future tutorial on Norwegian loop elements, but do you think you could post one showing how you made the top hat in your one coaster you have uploaded to youtube? Also, I know you said that dive loops are just immelmans in reverse, but I tried your tutorial in reverse and g...

The Kennywood coaster has both a 90 degree entrance and exit, but there is a brake at the top of the hill that will probably slow the train and maybe even hold it. I'm not going after that design specifically, I just don't want a Intamin looking top hat.

Newton 2 element help

I'm working on a coaster right now and trying to make not so much a Intamin-esque top hat but more of a 90 degree hill sorta like we've seen on the new Premier coaster at Kennywood. I know that you can't make vertical pieces in Newton and to make it around 89 degrees, but I still can't seem to get a...

More like the ultimate waste of money...am I right? Just get a job at an amusement park, it's a lot more fun especially when you work in maintenance like I do.

Even with setting the banking to 70-75 degrees the turns still tend to rise or fall like a helix...Is there generally a good value for the geforce in a turn like this...I've tried high g's, low positives over 1 and I can't seem to hit it on the mark. I'm generally using these turns at the bottom of ...

What's the easiest way to make flat banked turns like on Intamin Megalites and Intimidator 305...I've been trying everything to get it to work but none of mine look right. Anyone have any suggestions?

Was the feature where you mouseover the heartline and friction settings and values would pop up removed from this version of Newton. Because if not I can't figure out how to find the heartline values of different coater types within the program.

Fatal Inertia - Maurer Sohne X-Car

I haven't been in the No Limits designing community for much time now, having only completed one track since purchasing the simulator several years ago. I never could get the hang of hand building so a few months back I began experimenting with FVD and eventually got around to completing my first tr...

^ Is there any benefit to doing it that way or should I just stick to Newton's heartlining?

Also, can anyone explain what the best settings to use when saving an element are. I've never tried using the smoothing function because I don't know what the best settings to use are.

Question regarding Newton

I've been practicing using Newton for a few weeks now and have made two complete tracks but didn't know if I need to run it through the AHG or not. I tried running it through and it really messed up my track so I'm wondering if I'm not supposed to or if I'm doing something really wrong. Also, could ...
