I agree with the statement about not caring about what the trains look like, when I ride I am there to experience the ride, the color of the trains don't affect the ride or how I feel about the ride.

Wooden coasters ARE evolving into modern coasters, they are bigger, faster and smoother than their earlier predecessors were. The new trains are meant to help preserve the coasters overall life span and/or make for a better ride. I rode the Voyage last year, and the ride was wild, insane, out of con...

this is the first POV video I have seen of the ride, the ride itself looks like a nice coaster ride, but yeah some of those effects are cheesy, and I imagine that not everyone gets a view like that, with the high headrests. how about changing the cars back, closing in the lift and utilize the sound ...

I have kept coming back to this thread, to see if anyone else would respond, and thought since I am not one to sit back and keep my mouth shut that it was time to respond.. I read the conference call, and since I have minimal issues with the parks, I was fine with what they had to say, and since I d...

trust me, I am not listening to him... if I go through the different pages which I do, and come across an old thread I want to respond to, I WILL respond to it.

Thanks!

I read the main post of this thread, and it seems to me like its coming from a disgruntled employee angry with management for not doing their jobs.. I visit Six Flags parks all summer long, and I can honestly say, its not ALL management's fault... I had the pleasure of working out at SFSTL back in t...

I have ridden PK several times, and I haven't been disappointed with any rides! The launch is the best part, how you shoot over the hill and have that view of the valley as you do it..

I have been going out to SFGAM for over 13, I just don't see them yanking the Whizzer out anytime soon, its too much a part of the parks history. not to mention, isn't it one of if not THE last coaster of its kind? would seem kind of silly to get rid of it...

my opinion on this matter stands as such... I spend a lot of time at amusement parks over the summer months, I never look at the ride ops in a casual way, I watch them every time a train comes into the station, I watch to make sure that they are doing their jobs, making sure they are checking those ...

if your referring to the general public when you mention GP, that is the whole point of changing the coaster, to get more people to ride it. They are going to change the ride to suit their needs, which this time meant more ridership, don't put in a new coaster, it would be cheaper to just re-theme a...

All the folks I have talked to that have ridden the coaster say its one of the worst rides ever, hands down. I personally have never ridden it so I can't really draw my own conclusions. however, after hearing the countless SOB bashing's here and on other forums, I honestly don't have a desire to rid...

all the complaints in the world aren't going to change the minds of Six Flags company, Superman is gone, they had their reasons and it's done. they didn't change the coaster, just the trains and themeing.

but hey that's just my opinion...

it should be theme parks are turning BACK into "theme" parks. as an older member here,(age) I was around for the amusement park era of the 70's, when parks were packed, themed areas everywhere, even the park employees had themed costumes to wear for their specific store/department/area of the park t...

yes Six Flags filed for Chapter 11, all that is, is a restructuring of how to pay the debt back, it will reduce the debt and the payments they have to make, THAT IS ALL. Six Flags parks aren't going anywhere. no layoffs no park closings MORE advertising Nothing is probably going to happen at the six...

I honestly think the "giant" coasters are done. they started out with the "hyper" coaster "Magnum XL-200" and topped out with the "strata" coaster "Kingda Ka" I personally think that coasters are heading the direction of coasters like "maverick" and "Rita" I like to call them "speed" coasters. Parks...
