Re: SFDK 2018 - Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster: Skyline Skywarp

The ride was never meant to be quiet. In order to fit into the budget we were going for, some sacrifices (noise consideration) were made. A quieter version is definitely possible, but so far no one has decided on going that route. We are definitely excited to get this one open, and to open this budg...

Re: Alton Towers 2018 - Wicker Man: GCI Wooden

I believe Alton Towers had an RMC project (maybe rumor) before the Smiler crash. And so, since they lost money because of this crash, they certainly asked GCI for a cheaper woodie. This is not true at all. Wicker Man is the 2nd shortest GCI, longer than Heidi by .4ft, and Heidi cost around 7 millio...

Judging by the footers that has got to be pretty much the top of the lift.

As in fact it is.

Technically, there are two more bents before it is topped off, but close enough.

We didn't shorten anything; the turn over the station is just as tall as it always was (and TALL it is!).

Most rides from from a given manufacturer will be similar, consistency is a good business model. You want your customers to know what their ride will deliver. On occasion a customer will request certain things to try and incorporate into a layout. B&M has basically been building the same looping coa...

I still remember when Shivering Timbers was all over the Discovery channel. Out of the whole ride, they seemed to talk about the trick track the most.

The idea behind Big Fun was to make a ride that will fit in an area similar in size to what is needed for a Boomerang.

This ride reminds me of Thunder Run.

Yes, if the weather holds out, the ride might be done by the holidays (that's the goal anyway). It's a perfect addition to the park.

The ledgers for the ride were in sad shape and were going to be replaced anyway. The profile changes mentioned are just to bump the ledgers back u...
