If you watch the video interview with Dick Kinzel you can see random people from the GP just walking by while he reveals the most hyped ride in the parks history outloud for everyone to hear. They dont even look in his direction. lol. They probably filmed it in 2004 anyway.

When I heard Maverick was family friendly I had low expectations, which I guess made the ride surprise me a little more. Maybe CF is toning down the supposed intensity of this attraction to lift over...

Yeah, the hype for this ride was pretty crazy. This new attraction better take a good 15 years off my life expectancy.
