This would not be the first time Intamin used more sturdy track sections on a ride. The loops on Tornado have thick track sections as seen here

Is anyone going to be at the park the day of the Announcement? Im thinking about going up there to listen and watch but im not sure I'll be able to get near enough to see anything.

Well, as you all may know the official announcement to the public is on August 20th. Members of the press along with coaster nerds (like myself) recieved invitations to the media event. Here's what it looks like.





If you look closely it reads "Taller...Faster" behind the words biggest and meanest.

KD is definately going in the right direction with this coaster, and by that I mean "vertical";) I think racecar fans will like this ride;)

That isnt the Invite that is a picture for a event at Kings Dominion (you can find it online here http://www.kingsdominion.com/events/events.cfm). I know 2 people who have gotten the invite and they both say it looks like a race car. If you want more info go here http://www.kdfansite.com/index.php

There's finally a non-linear track section on site...the first I've seen at least. Looks to be for an S hill or some similar transition, which is definitely a welcome sight.

I hope the layout has more elements and is more thrilling and not a MF clone.

^It will. Try to imagine a hybrid of Farhenhiet and MF;) I think people are going to like it. Very "Intimdating".

Over at the KDfansite, they pointed out the bigg in biggest looks like 8155 and the GGE looks like 355 upside-down.

The G's do have a different font than all of the other letters, but I am not sure if that was intentional or not.

I dont know, but the GG could be a 99 upsidedown.
