About two hours (two game years) before I finished the last RCT1 scenario, Thunder Rock, I got RCT2 off the front doorstep. So far I haven't really found anything I dislike except one thing (so far). In the secnario editor, you can either choose to charge at the gate, or charge per ride, but you can...

Naturally, I want it all available in one park. lol. When I play SimCity 4, I typically want a completely flat landscape to work with. It just makes all the layout easier, but boring in a way, too. No tunnels, no hills, no routes to get around obstacles, etc.... I sort of feel the same way in RCT1, ...

I ordered RCT2 Saturday night from the Atari website. Got it for 50% off, making the game $9.97 with both expansions, plus shipping. Ended up almost $17. Anyway, now I'm so sick and tired of doing scenarios in RCT1 that I wonder if I'll be able to enjoy RCT2 when it comes in. All I wanted was to sta...

Originally posted by Edge RCT2 is just a plain awesome game. I love the retroness and the simplicity as said. I found it odd that someone with such a long posting history would have posted a link like that. Maybe some kid logged into his dad's account and posted the link? I'd hate to thing someone innocent lost their account over all this. Are you running the program as an administrator? Yes, this is an adm...

Originally posted by coasteragent99 Much of the later RCT1 expansions do not feature heavily wooded scenarios, though I haven't finished all of them yet. If you like scenario completion, go for loopy landscapes (don't know how you could buy one, you may have to get the deluxe/gold/whatever edition ...

You have a very twisted way of entertaining yourself. The only upside was that I saw one of the best-looking naked female butts I've ever seen in my lifetime on the bottom of that screen. The only bad part was that it sabotaged my browser and I had to use the task manager to shut down Firefox. If yo...

RCT1 - Thinking of Expansions or RCT2

I'm so addicted to RCT1. I've been rushing through the scenarios to try to get to some oreo cookie at the end, which I hope will be a huge megapark I can play without restrictions or time limits, and play it all over the map, save for a small section outside the map for people to enter the park. I o...

RCT1 - Accessing Custom Tracks

I downloaded and moved into the "Tracks" folder some downloaded tracks for RCT1, both TD4 and TP4 files, but the tracks aren't showing up in any of the coasters researched by the development team. In short, I can't find a way to actually use or even view the tracks within RCT1. The PDF manual says y...

80k in one year? Wow! Well, I just played the Diamond Heights scenario, thinking if I complete all these scenarios I can unlock some unlimited megapark with all the rides and all the space available. The objective was to reach a park value of $20,000 by the end of October, year three. Well, I failed...

RCT1 - No More Land For Sale

RCT1, no expansion packs: I'm playing Dynamite Dunes, and while I don't really care for the desert motif, this is my second and most successful park. I have over $80,000 and have bought all the available land, and have no debt. But now, no more land is for sale, and no land ever had any construction...

The flickering of a monitor running at 60Hz. What is your refresh rate that you have set in Control Panel > Display > Advanced > Monitor? Is it 60Hz? 70Hz? that means that the monitor's image goes on and off 60 times a second at 60Hz, 75 times a second at 75Hz. Actually a light cannon is scanning al...

What's First? Landscape or Track?

Before I begin work on "my Masterpiece" (lol) I wanted to know how you start your project. Do you start with a flat landscape, build your track, then raise and lower the land around it? Or do you first build a crazy landscape, then let the challenge be deciding how to navigate it with the track? Or ...

Oh, it's not about frame rate. On the default settings, mine stays pegged at 100 FPS no matter which coaster I run. When I max out all the settings with 1024 x 768 x 32-bit color, including trilinear filtering and 4th setting on full-screen anti-aliasing, it runs 99-100 FPS, and dips to about 70 FPS...

Setting the Refresh Rate in NL 1.7

How does one set the refresh rate for NL 1.7? I normally run my monitor at 1600x1200 with an 85Hz refresh, or if I'm running 1280x1024, I run a 100Hz refresh. When I start NL, which I have set to run at 1024x768, the refresh rate drops to 60Hz, and I hate that because it flickers. If I run anything ...

Intro and Hello

Just joined tonight, my first post. Funny thing, too. My registration ID (the six-digit number) was 180666. 180 degrees and 666, all at the same time? I wonder what my future has in store for me now. Anyway, I've had NoLimits for quite some time, was mesmerised by all the coasters that came with the...
