i was lookin around skate ramp-building forums (www.rampplans.org) and i noticed that a lot of people were usng sketch up to draw plans for their ramps

i figured i'd give it a try and it turns out, although i haven't figured out the textures yet, it's quite easy to use and you can export as a 3ds
www.sketchup.com
you have to fill out a little info form to download the 8 hour trial

i'm sorry if this was posted in the wrong section

Its INSANELY easy. This is one of the best little modeling programs Ive ever seen.

Thanks for reminding me, I need to redownload it.

It is easy, but once your eight hours are up, your gonna have to pay $495 for the program.

I guess you pay for ease of use, eh CJD? Since it is only 8 hours, better get the trial when you have 8 hours you can spend on it so you don't waste it.

Reminds me ALOT of Rhino. I wasn't as impressed with the textures you could apply to it though, basically looked as if everything was a solid color with a black line along the outlines. I might try it out sometime.

the textures suck and i dont really know how to use em but for woodie, its not 8 hours straight, its when you use it it adds up the minutes

my time hasn't run out yet, but i think you oculd prolly just uninstall it/reinstall it and you'll have 8 more hours
