nah just searched was about 30 the max for any contest we had was 46, maybe we get lucky this year [:)] I mean, who doesn't want to sport our merchandise? It's so stylish

I'm in, hopefully I have enough free time to finish a coaster this year.

64 people signed up last time, 34 actually submitted a ride.

I'd rather not join, for many reasons ranging from school to my opinion of the last contest. However, I wouldn't mind being a "judges' consultant" where I would basically speak with the judges to shed some light on their evaluations of the rides (read: tell the judge(s) what an idiot he is/they are when they say one coaster is better than another ). Wouldn't take too much time (that I won't have), I know NL and coasters in general very well as I proved in the last contest, and I'd still be able to positively influence the outcome of the contest. Care to consider?

"Round 2: you will be split into pairs working on a design together and you shall then face this agaisnt other competitors again of which only 16 the competitors will go throught to the next stage
5th to 1st will get points

round 4: will see the start of the head to head rounds where you will pe paired off again agaist eachother in a battle. only 8 tracks will progress

Round 4: again head to head in pairs agaist eachother. only 4 will progress"

I'm not sure I really like the idea of round 2. My only beef is how it will be split up and how fair it may be. It would seem best to keep all of the rounds head to head.

Won't be completely fair. I mean yes the drawing is random, but that takes out a lot of the importance of skill. Thus, you can easily be the best designer and design the best coasters, but not win. Isn't the objective to find the best designer of 2007?

On the other hand, and in their defense, the prizes are more "fun" than serious like money, so the overall tone of the contest may take a more fun and lighthearted route which would be consistent with prizes.

I see your point, however, not everybody is going to be as competitive as the next person.
