There are soo many reasons why family owned parks are much better.

If only Dollywood bought Six Flags. My life would be complete.

but then the company would be too large for the family to run and you'd end with the same result
What are these for?

Exactly.
Cedar Fair is the best example on how to run a large chain well.
Six Flags is... the worst.

Oh good god.
I thought the Colossus part was bad, but I thought it was just left over inventory, but Tatsu just takes the title for the worst.

My friend got kicked out of the park for wearing a shirt that had Batman beating up a villain because it was "too violent" even though the park sold that shirt inside.

When I was at Great America back in June, while I was waiting in line for Goliath, there were times where the whole line was at a complete standstill for more than five minutes. I'm sorry, but when the advertised wait time is already 2.5 hours, that just isn't acceptable. Fortunately, the single rider line allowed me to bypass most of the line, but still...

So a couple of years ago before I was much of a coaster enthusiast I went to SFOG with my family. We had bought the premium parking thing ahead of time and at the toll both thing they asked for it. We gave it to them and they just told us to park in the premium area. When we did someone else said we needed the pass. So we spent the next half hour walking to the toll booth thing where all the employees where confused and had know idea what they needed to do. Eventually we got in but way to much effort.

Then another time a few years ago my aunt went with us there and she bought the valet parking thing. Six Flags doesn't seem to understand the concept of this and they didn't even bother to move the car. Not really complaining but it might not be a good idea to leave peoples cars in your entrance like that.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

I knew why Six Flags were stupid, grrrr! One question is haven't they thought Batman is the superhero that makes most "Six Flags Parks" look cool? Batman-related rides obviously there! :?

Edit: I wasn't going to be mean at all. I wanted to say Six Flags should do their business for visitors, not only for theme park fanatics who seek giant structures! They know at least how to keep the kids amused, though, like placing kiddie areas. They have to think of general people coming to a park, just for an entertainment like shows or for a refreshment. Batman shirt got banned? They are talking nonsense!

I say that coaster mugs are looking awesome though only Tatsu seems to appeal "painfulness" in a weird way. ;)
It's obviously one of the best B&Ms that gives an entire view of SFMM!

I remember hearing a while back that Six Flags New England was going to offer Exclusive Ride Time for passholders on Flashback, the park's Vekoma Boomerang. Seriously? ERT on a Boomerang?

The commercial says Wicked Cyclone has the "World's first hang-time inversion"

I know most people are too ignorant to understand what a 200 degree stall is, but they dumbed it down so far that it ended in stupidity.

I really can't fathom why Six Flags competes records against itself. Obviously Goliath had one of those first, and that's in a Six Flags park... I just... don't understand.

And the whole First 4D Free Fly when SFMM had one for a while...

^ They bank on the fact that the GP is too dumb to understand they're practically the same thing. It's like a store taking something listed at $10, and putting a sign next to it that says "$20 50% sale! $10!" just to get people to buy it.
