Custom cartexture logos

I've still got some questions about custom cartextures. What program do you guys use to create the logos on the trains? I'm starting a new project, so keep your eye out for it.

I'm pretty sure that most guys use photoshop to create logos, it's pretty much the most popular photo editing program. I personally don't have it, so I use even paint to create worded logos, then paste them over the NL logo on the defualt cartexture, and wala. Also, I would try searching on the net for free software that will allow you to create some basic graphics.

yeah that's pretty much what i do. Adobe Photoshop is perfect for it, as your texture has to be saved as a targa file (.tga)- which adobe allows.

As does any 32bit TGA. [:p]

Im confused when making a texture for a car is there a placment map I can use to show where everything goes?
