there's 3DS max, google sketchup, anim8or and some others, anim8or is free, sketchup is free if you don't wanna export, 3DS max completely costs.

trueSpace is a very sophisticated 3D program that used to cost hundreds of dollars, but then MS bought it and now is giving it away for some reason. It has 3DS support.
