Around 2:00 PM toady EDT there was a 5.8 earthquake on the US Eastern coast. The epicenter was located around Mineral, VA. Vibrations were felt as far north as Boston.

Granted a 5.8 is not really bad, this is the east coast where any earthquake is a major event.

I was at work when the earthquake hit. Personally, I didnt feel or see anything happen. However, dmillz told me he noticed some of the lights at our work location moving back and forth.

Details of the quake can be found here: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/ ... 2311a.html

[lol][lol] I was in 7th period, and the floor started shaking.Apparently I'm the only person in this damn state who's ever been in an earthquake before. [xx(] Oh, and I heard on the news that they even felt the quake as far north as Toronto, but it all makes sense geolocially.
The entire east coast of the United States is on one tectonic plate, so the vibration was felt all over the plate. Basically, we wouldn't have felt anything more that 50 miles out if this was Cali.

Jesus is coming back, like seriously lol. To me it's hard to read Revelation and think all this poop that's been going on is pure coincidence.

Disaster - Plates been moving since...forever. You can draw what you want from it but the Earth is designed to work like this. Its not like the plates have never moved since the beginning of time and all of a sudden, oh, theyre movin!

Didn't feel a thing. Had a perfect view of NYC and didn't notice anything different. It was only until I recieved a txt message asking if I felt it and another saying it was safe to reenter the buildings that I realized something had happened.

Jakizle took the words right out of my mouth. Ooo look, geology...

Maybe I'm just used to it because I live near a military base where they test explosives.

I was crossing the street onto campus when it happened and I had no idea until someone said they felt it.
What are these for?

Since you know positively everything I'm sure you can explain how it having an incredibly shallow focus wasn't a big deal whatsoever at all and an all around joke.

While I agree it wasn't huge, any type of earthquake is noteworthy in our area. At first I thought a fat guy was getting on the ride or something, but then I felt the whole station platform moving and then our supervisor mentioned a little later the earthquake. It was kinda cool even if it wasn't small. I heard some rides at Great Adventure were closed for precautionary reasons as well.
