Energylandia 2018 - Hyperion Intamin Hyper

The Intamin looks amazing; it looks more fluid and dynamic than the Vekoma. But really, it honestly looks like you can't go wrong with either; both are pretty awesome. Still, even though I like the Intamin better, I really hope it's the Vekoma that ends up getting built, so that they can really get their big chance to finally kill that negative connotation that comes with their name (Side note -- that idea about Vekoma being a complete ass manufacturer seems like a really outdated joke in the enthusiast community).

If they do end up choosing the Intamin over the Vekoma, I hope the Skydash model can end up in some nice park (that isn't in some obscure place in like China or something)! Somehow it looks like Vekoma's also advertising the mega as a stock model.

^ I think that Arrow (Now S&S.) and Vekoma have made elements and inversions look exciting, while Anton and Intamin have tried making their layouts look fun or smooth without relying on a set of special "loop" elements.

The decision was made! We made a selection of the project, which is hereby inform you. In 2018 years in Poland, Energylandii in Zator, will the BIGGEST and FASTEST across Europe Mega Coaster from the company Intamin, beating all our records !!!
We took the challenge as to the technical parameters and thus to announce that we started the race in the category of "NAJ" - ... BIGGER ... FASTER, HIGHER ... ... and for sure we will win it!
They judge it the following properties:
- Height: 80 meters,
- Speed: over 140 km / h,
- 85 degrees inclination of the drop,
- The effect of a water splash flow
- Drive through the tunnel at the maximum speed,
- Numerous phrases and inversions,
- Maximum speed when cornering and quilting down
- Gigantic speed for travel on the rise, the effect of weightlessness,
- Fascinating positive and negative overload,
- Double turns,
- Unexpected gravitational effects,
- Panoramic wave, with stunning views,
- Rotary slope of the track ...
Already in 2018 our park uprising Mega Coaster, which will provide a spectacular experience and emotion, offering you a fantastic and unforgettable adventure! We want you to know that this is for you and thanks to you we are getting better and we put ourselves constantly new challenges.
We will see you, that is not impossible for us, and the only time we put a small limit;)
The proposal Mega Coaster from the company Intamin Amusement Rides is a project prepared for our special order, which will provide guests Energylandii entertainment at the highest level. Bummer, personally I liked the Vekoma as layout a lot more!

I think they're both excellent, but I liked the Vekoma a little more and this would have been such a good gig for them. Oh well, Vekoma still has those other newer designs on the way. And the Intamin looks great.

I liked the Vekoma layout better as well. This layout seems to be a bit on the short side and after the s curves looks a bit boring.

I think the new layout makes this better than the Vekoma. With the 4 wide trains the slower transitions are going to be exaggerated and much more fun. Plus it fixed all of the problems people were worried about. It doesn't meander, and the capacity is increased. Now it's just a really short ride and the second airtime hill is slow af.

I thought both proposals looked good but I'm glad they picked Intamin. And Skyrush has taught me not to worry about the length.

Announcing such an extreme, ambitious, fun-looking ride ~1.5 years in advance seems like psychological torture.

I pay so much respect to Intamin & Vekoma, for inventing glass smooth coasters and innovative designs.

The Intamin layout actually really reminds me of El Toro.

I see the resemblance. Start with airtime and end with a bunch of turns.

Layout is just too short for my likings, all this kinetic energy for a lot of fun stuff and it's getting cut short.

^I don't think the length will be a problem at all. To me it actually seems quite long. The kinetic energy didn't run out but money probably did. And it's easy to kill the vibe of a ride if you add one or two too many elements.

The first half is going to be absolutely insane with airtime, and at such great heights. I also really like those adjacent 4-across Intamin trains. Sexy as hell. I still would like to see Vekoma take that designing strength somewhere else though. Their turnaround was way cooler than the Intamin turnaround in my opinion.

The Vekoma family boomerang is up. It's a clone of Velociraptor at Paulton's.
