Fair Warning About Exchange Uploads

If you have recently uploaded a track to the exchange then you probably noticed the bold warning about screen shot images.

Please do not upload digital photos or stock photography. Simulator screenshots only. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in your track being removed from the exchange and/or suspension of your CoasterCrazy.com account with out warning.

I wanted to clarify this warning so that we all have an understanding of why it is there. First, this is not a new rule. This rule has been in place since the sites conception, however up to now it has been a non-issue. This warning has been added due to recent abuse of images uploaded in conjunction with tracks.

The screen shot function is for uploading just that, a screen shot of your track as it looks from inside the simulator. You are permitted to edit that screen shot to include text, logos, etc but the main portion of that image should be an image of your ride in the simulator.

You may leave the screen shot field blank if you do not have a screen shot. If you need help taking or retrieving screen shots from your computer and uploading to the exchange, search the forum. There are several topics on how to do this on the site, and in the nolimits help menu.

This problem is nothing as bad as over on NoLimits-Exchange.com I counted over 76 coaster with a random screen shot that was not the actual coaster they uploaded. It is outrageous over there.

Your tracks were deleted because;

They had stock photo's in them which you do not hold the copyrights to.
The stock photos did not contain any image or text relevant to the ride.
Your screen shot did not contain any image of the ride in the simulator. The stock photos mislead the community as to the quality of the ride.
You stole one of my rides, did a piss poor job of "making it better", and then posted in on the exchange as your own with out my permission.


You have been treated no different then any other member of this forum in regards to site policies. There have been no fewer then a dozen complaints from various people in regards to your numerous transgressions. In fact you have already been warned that one more complaint of any nature against you and you will be banned from the site.

Since you are going to accuse me of abusing my power, I will now do just that. I hope you enjoy your new point balance and title.

What cracks me up is that this has to even be explained.

I don't think site abusers should even be warned, especially if they're stealing tracks.
