Uh, Dick Knoebel announced this at Phunphest. You know, last OCTOBER?

He did? I was there, and all I remember is the Phoenix "ceremony". Unless the ride was announced at another time during the Phunfest, I don't see how I could've missed the announcement.

The Mack bobsled coasters are very much like those pics of Flying Turns that I've seen. Avalanche at PKD and Avalanche at Blackpool are examples.

What will be so different about Knoebel's version?
My body isn't a temple. It's an amusement park.

Flying turns were constructed out of wood and did not use any means of "tracking" the trains so to speak, the track allowed the cars to freely travel through the course of the "track" with no restriction whatsoever, causing for a more adrenalistic ride. However, I suspect the Flying Turns at Knoebel's will contain some means of tracking for safety reasons, though I would assume that it will be constructed fully from wood in order to truly resemble the flying turns of the past.

Yeah just like hoe we were supposed to see it in the 2010 season, the the 2011 season.

As far as i'm concerned, it's just a sexy lawn ornament for the park.
