Getting Into 3dsMax

So, I am getting sick of how artificial sketchup can look. So, I wanna learn how to use 3ds max. Does anyone know any good tutorials or wanna teach me and get everyhting started? Im lost.

How did you get it? Doesn't it cost like 3000 dollars or something?

My dad works for a company that uses it. He got me a copy.

I'd really like to know how to get started with it too. After my final exam on Wednesday I'll have about 3 months until school starts again so I would like to learn the basics during that time.
