I should go out there and take pics. I live 15 min from there and pass it on the freeway every day :)

Apparently they've shortened the mid-course drop a little. The ride no longer has those weird trims, though, so hopefully it should at least be nearly as good as it apparently was on opening day! Pretty excited for this!

We didn't shorten anything; the turn over the station is just as tall as it always was (and TALL it is!).

I mean raised the height of the valley; sorry for the confusion. Can this be confirmed? I still think it'll be a really awesome drop, though!

"GhostRider, the longest, tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster on the West Coast, returns on June 11th. The coaster will now feature all new mining cars and a complete re-profiling and re-tracking. The west is about to get even wilder."

That train looks great! GhostRider is more exciting to me than anything else opening in 2016 (except Harry Potter California, but I already did that), so I've got a pretty good idea of where I'll be on June 12th.

Top 5 Wood: El Toro, Voyage, Thunderhead, Outlaw Run, Boulder Dash

I'll be there on the 12th as well. Holiday World/Kentucky Kingdom then Discovery Kingdom/Great America and then Magic Mountain/Knotts all within a 3 week period. Can't wait!

I feel pity that you got yourself into this predicament.

You did notice that GCI retracked it and they are going to be using a 12 car mf train instead of a 7 car ptc train, didnt you? of course they neutered it.. in fact when you watch the video of the spokesman describing the new ride experience he describes taking out all the intense bits as if it will improve the ride.. maybe so, but it wont be the same ..

Interesting that they're doing the double-planks in the middle of the track from the get go. Is that a Cedar Fair only thing?
