good idea maybe?

I thought of an idea... maybe a bad one, maybe a good one. but i think it would be cool, remember back to your very first NL track? when all of us were noobs? i do, but here's the deal, i think it would be awesome if somebody (not me) made a contest to recreate the layout of your very first coaster, and make it better...as in smoother and such, but without changing the layout. The problem is, in order for it to become a contest the holder of the contest would have to see both tracks, (very first track, and new version)...so that would make it difficult. However, wether it becomes a contest or not, i'm gonna try to recreate my first coaster.

Aha, I dunno if that'd work out as a contest, but that's still a cool idea. Or, maybe just have a contest between everybody's first ride itself [:D] I think that'd be pretty funny to see happen.

Yea thats always fun. I had a couple layouts that are pretty neat looking back on them.

not a bad idea.. but concidering i got a score of 2.13 for mine, and some ppl have created brillient tracks elsewhere before uploading their first track here it mite be somewhat unfair sometimes

Maaan, my first track was soooo horribly bad looking back on it. I think there should be a contest just with the original ones, not the re-done versions.

my first was terrible too, but that is the point, to keep the layout, but improve...

Yeah I know. I'm just saying it would be fun to have a contest with the original tracks, not improved and see who's is the best.

But of course, now that this comes up, my track has mysteriously vanished. [V]

mine too, but i still remember the layout like it was yesterday. i beleive it was neon yellow with blue supports, and only one inversion (loop) plus a bunch of tight overbanks

my first coaster is my only coaster I posted.

I think this is original....my 1?????????was HULK,a B&M twisted coaster...a full 5 for that!Available and ready to be restyled[:D]

Not that this is going to be a contest or anything, but we should be allowed to alter the track from its original form.

We have to choose the coaster...that's a problem!

hmm, well before any of you decide that i should hold the contest, i'm not going too, i just thought the idea was original and if anybody else wants to create a contest similar, i would participate, as for altering the track style, i think small alterations are ok, but nothing to drastic. as long as the layout resembles that of the very first coaster. Know what i mean?

Because first off, i'm still somewhat new to this site, and i wouldn't have the slightest idea how to run a contest. I'm also not so sure i would have the time, or patients
