Help!!! Rollercoaster tycoon 2

I looked at some pre made wooden coaster designs, and they all had wide supports, I am trying to get wide supports in my own design, can anyone tell me how this is done?

The flang out supports are not part of the ride itself. You can only build them with theming. With shift you can raise or lower the side supports. With some sort of theme you have alot of structure kinda things wich you can use to build these supports. You can see what i mean by building a wooden coaster and then remove it. The special supports won't be removed because it's theming.
