Mystic Timbers - Kings Island's 2017 GCI POV!

At the horrible messy unkempt trim-braked state that Beast is currently in, plus the whole Son of Beast debacle, I'm still shocked that they're (allegedly) adding a wooden coaster. Maybe Cedar Fair corporate trusts GCI after Gold Striker and the refurbishing of GhostRider. This is a huge stretch but maybe the layout and plans are a complete foil (since they could use the Prowler prints) and they'll actually just end up having GCI completely reprofile Beast lol. That coaster is such trash it's incomprehensible.

Next Thursday is the day! I will be at the announcement since I won't have to work. (It's not letting me upload the picture)


But. Announcement is to be held in Rivertwon at 10 o'clock on July 28th.

I will say this, there is no need to worry about the log flume being takin down for this new ride.

Maybe GCI offered BGE and KI a discount on bad rides if it goes over and under a log flume.

I'm going to go ahead and guess that it'll have some sort of inversion because a standard GCI with no inversions seems like it might be hard to market given how historic KI's other wooden coasters are, not to mention GCI isn't exactly known for breaking height/speed records.

It's like, thanks to SOB, we can see a lot of wooden loopers today.

ALSO to note, Zephyr is completely torn apart so i believe it will either be back up sometime this fall or return next year with a completely new LED light package (like Shake Rattle and Roll did)

They showed a POV during the live stream. It looks better than InvadR, though that isn't saying much.

I don't understand the What's In The Shed tagline. I can see the bricks of the station building in the video. Regardless of whether the NL sim was made in a rush or not (which it doesn't look like it was), the layout has to be relatively accurate, and I can see the station. Inside the shed is the block brake for the train waiting to enter the station?

Thanks, didn't notice they posted that. That invalidates my theory that it could be a drop track since there is no change in altitude.

Watch it just be a couple strobe lights and some fog, right into the station. Boom, Adventure Express ending reprise right there. Then everyone would be praising Kings Island for such a "genius callback". That actually wouldn't surprise me considering how ridiculously bad this thing looks.

Is this thing some kind of bizarre contract deal with GCI where Cedar Fair needs them to make X number of rides in X time and they just said "F it" and had this dumped into King's Island? Like I'm glad King's Dominion didn't get insulted with this thing but eesh.

It's not that it's so bad, it's just something that would fit in better at a park half the size.
