Mantis at Cedar Point to Get Repainted?

On the turn right before the block break, if you catch a glimpse, you will see the following:

This patch of paint is referred to as test paint. Basically its to see what the new colors will look like on Mantis. This has not been confirmed by Cedar Point however it is to say that Mantis will get new colors.

The colors are green and silver. What do you guys think of the new paint that Mantis will get?

Never been a fan of silver, just look at the batman clones, silver=boring, repaint=looks cool.
Can the silver be primer? As for the lime green, would they then have to change Raptor's paint?

Fitting because preying mantises IRL are also green. I also think people will joke about Green Lantern being relocated to Cedar Point.

Hmm interesting. Kinda sad though, I really love Mantis's colors now.

Am not sure as to what my feels are towards this. Might be cool, hard to say. Would have to see the colors on a larger scale.
Maybe for 20th anniversary in two years it will get a repaint.

Same, I like the red/yellow/blue coloring. Green and silver just don't seem to fit.

To me it sortve looks like primer paint from a recent weld inspection.

The supports are weird. Depending on the lighting they're either dark blue or a purple color. In the morning they're purple and then later on in the day they're not. The ride also photographs better in the sunset (western sun direction shows less rust). Shame too really, because I'd never be creative enough to come up with the colors in the first place. The blue looks better than the purple though.

I wonder what PointBuzz has to say about it..

Screamscape stated that there will be something intense coming to CP next year (please God be a record-breaking Dive Machine). I'm betting it's going somewhere near the Dinos and Mantis gets re-themed like Iron Dragon did for TTD

Huh, never thought of it like that.
I so want a Dive Machine, I think if the drop was heavily themed to scare the s*it out of you, it would no doubt be one of the best rides in the park.

I don't either! I love all new roller coasters, and the big deal the community makes when a new one is build, but Gatekeeper is still new per say, and it was expensive!
They took down their dark ride, for gatekeeper, and other rides, CP put alot of work into Gatekeeper, for them to build another massive coaster is unlikely. But like I said, it could still be something awesome!
They should paint Mantis the colors that Raptor has, and change Raptors colors.

They also have their commitment to Lebron James with him returning to Cleveland and CP renaming their rides the King james.

I highly doubt it will be an important coaster though. But these rumors are making me nervous, they are pointing that Mantis will be changed into King james!

So i don't think they'll change it, but anything is possible.

I say just leave it, throw some new trains on.
