Matrix: Path of Neo

Hey I just bought the game Matrix: Path of Neo for the PS2 and i'm already stuck on the level where you need to detonate a bomb on this pillar. he problem is that when you attach the bomb an agent apears and strands you on the small island thing. Trinity tells you to keep firing at him but all that happenes is you run out of bullets and he just kills you.( If you detonate the bomb you die obviously)

It's pretty hard seeing as it's one of the first few levels after training. So if anybody completed that level could you please help thanks.
