FN -- I'm not sure if you are seeking other opinions, but since you are making a wood, I'd be happy to give it a whirl or two if you need another pair of eyes to take a glance or two at it.

FN -- check my response on your gmail account (sorry for the delay) ... you may want to make a small modification on the layout. ;-)

Got the comments, thanks alot. I had been thinking about what you mentioned even before completing the trackwork, but IMO (and what this thingis about) it would differ a bit too much from the real thing.

Anyways..the wide supports on the lift are coming nicely and are about 60% done

I will be using Hansixx's Alpengluen environment to give it a sunset setting which can be seen in a few of the screenshots I uploaded to the nldc project page.

Just a small update;
-Supports 100% finished...stupid things
-Finalizing cartexture as I'm typing this (yes, I have 4 hands and can do multiple things at once [lol])
-Station work has begun. the station will be a simple design with an exit and entrance ramp
- after everything is done i will be doing some light terraforming and adding a bunch of trees to try and hide the horizon and to make the coaster look better in the environment

2 screenshots;

yes, why? There is no themeing on the real ride and I don't have the time or 3ds skills to make anything complicated. Plus I want to concentrate on the coaster more than the extras.

Just bury it in trees when you are done FN -- at least it will avoid the "barren" look and give it more of a:

type of feel, ya know? Let it traverse low through tree when you can, that way it breaks up the boring horizon. ;-)

I need some opinions on this small matter. I have seen people say that the railings in nl arn't correct so I am just curious as to what I should do. Below are two screenshots, first one is the stock autosupport railings and in the second one I have changed the handrails to small wood beams.

What do you think looks better? Or is there a better way to do it?

-thanks

i guess i can write what i have completed since the last update..
-station roof is now done. the roof will be the only 3ds object on the station, the railings will be made from wood supports within nolimits.

Yeah the bottom picture looks a whole lot better.

Btw, thanks for letting me testing. I just have to say guys that this has great airtime, consistent speed, and he even threw some really nice lats in to the ride. By nice i mean awesome! I saw it without the tunnel and such, so i cant wait to see the final version.

How about making small supports for the railings then the top would be flat. Just like on Real's Outlaw.
