In my intro to this site i was interested in what music people liked and I recieved a couple of replys.

This topic is a chance to recomend music with everyone and discuss why you like it.

Ill start... I like the band Avenged Sevenfold because I like how the drums, guitars, and vocals are all very strong imo. I also think they are great, live.

Coldplay is amazing for their originality in making every song sound different! They have changed so much from their first album to today!
Oh, were you expecting something here?

A music thread is even more unstable than a religious thread. Prepare for stubborn debates and conflicting opinions...

Everyone who knows Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) knows that already.[lol]

I used to like them, but now I am a huge Metallica fan. There songs are fast paced, ongoing, and just amazing.

Alter Bridge is simply phenominal. For those who don't know much about the band, The lead guitarist Mark Tremonti (who also provides backing vocals), bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips came up with the idea of a new band after the breakup of Creed. The whole brainchild for Alter Bridge was Tremonti's, however it was a result of Tremonti, Marshall and Phillips's sticking together that really got Alter Bridge together. After calling up The Mayfield Four's lead singer Myles Kennedy (who's band toured with Creed at one point), Alter Bridge was complete.

Their music is pure genius, and in my opinion the group is far better than what Creed ever was. Their debut album One Day Remains has a lot of great rock songs, which all are pretty easy to listen to. Their sophmore album Blackbird hits it out of the ballpark, far surpassing One Day Remains.

Unlike Creed, Alter Bridge has a stronger, heavier, more "complete" sound to their music, which can be contributed to the fact that both Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy both play guitar (Kennedy playing rythym).

Here is a few of my personal favorite songs from Alter Bridge, all of them are live songs. (If you want studios, look them up.)

Find The Real (from One Day Remains)

One Day Remains (From One Day Remains)

Metalingus (From One Day Remains)

White Knuckles (from Blackbird) & Broken Wings (from One Day Remains)

Blackbird (from Blackbird)

Rise Today (from Blackbird)

I mentioned above Myles Kennedy's former band The Mayfield Four. I thought i'd share one of their songs as well, as The Mayfield Four is a band worth checking out.

Mars Hotel (from Second Skin)
