New Compy....Sorta

So my dad goes on this buisness trip. And electrical engineer confrences have all these prize give aways. He won a AMD 64 4600+ Dual core processor (over 450$ value) Unfortunatly we didnt have a socket 939 computer so we have to get a new mobo and graphics card. Just ordered everything tonight. So I will finally enter the PCIexpress world with a BFG 7600 GT OC. If you ask why I didnt shell out the money for a SLI 7900GTX, its plain and simple, 300 fps, looks just like 100 fps not that big a difference there. The 7600 GTs are a reall bang for the buck card too. This whole upgrade cost 400.

I cannot wait to run everything on high graphics settings.

Nice, expensive comp hardware, it's good stuff. But do remember those like me sitting in the dirt with a radeon 9600pro and a p4 2.66ghz.

I know how you feel, I had to live with a Geforce 2 for several years. It was such a bottleneck.
