I could do one with a lot besides scripting. Anyone have anything in particular they'd like to see?

I was thinking about making a video that shows me making a simple ride that uses a lot of the features
Coaster Count: 582 // Top Five: 1. Helix 2. Nemesis 3. Big Bad Wolf 4. Boulder Dash 5. Balder

Yeah turbo please do, it would be great to see them all in action, and then maybe the unpacked park so we can see how it works?

Alright, so far I have these things to accomplish in the video:
*Create park
*editor settings
*Demonstrate movement and options in the editor
*Begin making the first ride (It will be a short kiddie coaster)
- Create new ride
- coaster properties
- Show how to start ride
- add vertexes
- controlled rolls and continuous rolls
- connect ride
- smooth ride
- keeping segments straight
- use type separators
- use style separators
- terrain editing
- Tunnel making
- different segment (station, brake, etc.) properties
- supporting
*Ride Freezing
*Make ride 2 (short Arrow Suspended Coaster)
- make ride complete with transfer segments
- detailed terrain editing
- ride triggers
*In Sim tests
*scenery additions
*making a completed beginner park

Anything I'm missing?

Yay, the good quality version was uploaded!

Anyway this tutorial fully covers all of the basic editor and sim functions, I hope you guys enjoy. I'll soon be making a (hopefully much) shorter tutorial on details such as terrain painting, track triggers, and a few other things.

Yay shortcuts:
0:00 NL2 and Editor introduction
8:40 Track Building
21:30 Style Separators
23:30 Simple Terraforming
26:57 Simple Custom Supporting
42:50 Detailed Custom Supporting
57:45 Test Ride
Coaster Count: 582 // Top Five: 1. Helix 2. Nemesis 3. Big Bad Wolf 4. Boulder Dash 5. Balder

If you just uploaded it, it probably is still processing considering it's an hour long.

Hey Turbo - just watched your crazy video - learnt nothing - but was engaging watching - couldn't stop - thanks for your effort.

So much to cover - so much more to cover - but you made a start - well done and thanks.

Thanks for watching, the 3rd tutorial may or may not happen, I'm still deciding. It would cover Lighting and Scripting but those are things I do not know how to do.

I think you should do a third tutorial. The last two were very helpful.

Interesting terrain bug you got there, Turbo. If you have any idea how to recreate that please let us know. Also if we can have access to your file some how it would be extremely helpful in figuring out what's going on. A stripped down version with just the terrain is likely all that we would need, assuming the terrain is at fault that is.

(referring to the falling through the floor and tunnel circles cutting through the unfrozen terrain) Actually I had to completely reset the height of the world the first time (my first terrain setup was better, so having to redo it made me a sad panda.) And I thought it was fixed, however I was sadly mistaken. I will be uploading the park to the exchange shortly for your use and research.

Anyway, More ideas for the next tutorial would be nice. Keep them coming :)

EDIT: uploaded

Good job, I learned a few things about creating steel supports. I haven't messed with those yet. I didn't know you could change the track type (2 tube, 4 tube, etc...), that's good to know.

I'll get around to watching part 2 soon. Thanks!

Put the criticism at the end, because it's not really a big deal:
I can't tell if you are deliberately mispronouncing "flange" or not, but it hurts my ears when you do it so I have to chime in. An 'e' at the end of the word turns 'g' into a 'j' sound: hinge, wedge, language, etc... So it's "flanj", with the 'a' as in "plan". If it's deliberate because you think it's funny, then carry on (I'm generally a grumpy old man so you can safely ignore a lot of what I say).
