This time it wont be a fluke like this year. It has already been planned out and all is gravy so far. Sign ups will start January 1st through the 14th and round one will start Jan 15 to Jan 31st and so on. There will be a grand prize of at least $100, depending on the revenue generated through wws, if revenue outweights costs, x amount will be added per month that such happens. To get the grandprize you must complete all 5 rounds.
Some serious notes about the tournament. Since you are competing for prize money there is a catch. You are required to complete your rounds. If you fail to do so you will be banned for X amount of weeks. Dropping in round 3 you will be banned for 3 weeks. Dropping in round 1 you will be banned for one week. You get the point.[:p] It is estimated that this tournamnt will last all the way into mid June.
Well stay tuned for January first to sign up, tons of slots to fill up. You are required to have a minimum of 25 forum posts to qualify for the start of the round. You have until sign up day to get your 25 posts posted you n00bs. Let the rowdy yelling and tomatoe throwing begin! [:p]

By "complete your rounds" do you that if you don't turn in a track (for any reason), you'll be banned? Or are you banned just if you drop?

if you fail to send in a track you'll be banned. If you send in a track and lose that round, you won't be banned.

Sounds awesome. How long will the sign up last? I'm not sure if I'll be here when they begin.

Sounds like fun, I love that it's for money since that makes things even more competitive which is awesome, but especially since round 2 would be at the beginning of my next semester and it's 5 rounds long, I don't expect to join...it's just too much of a time commitment especially since I haven't been doing great in classes.

Curious though, who's judging? I'll judge fairly and impartially for 1/2 of the value of the prize money (or cojudge for 1/3) :) haha, just thought I'd throw that out there.

I look forward to this, as always. Maybe this'll finally be the year that I don't drop out (04), get DQ'ed (07), or KO'ed by computer glitches (03), and make it to the finals. I quiver with anticipation!
