Review of "Splice"

Last night I attended a private screening of the movie "Splice" which will debut in theaters this Friday 04JUNE2010. First and foremost, I will say that this movie is by no means worth the $10 you'd spend on a movie ticket. Even when you push the "I believe" button and forget all the scientific discrepancies, it's still a horrible film. The plot development is next to nothing, and it is riddled with filler scenes whose only purposes are to give the movie a 1.5-hour run time. "Splice" attempts to make geneticists look like punk/emo rockers as some sort of feeble attempt to attract the younger crowd. If flashy CGI gimmicks and incest/bestiality are your forte', then this film is certainly for you. If not, just stay home.
