That empty scaffolding stack right before the track reaches vertical looks so strange. At least that ground-up photo makes it look like they gave it enough bracing. Every other photo I see makes it look like a full train would just take the whole thing down

I hope the drop leaning to the right is just camera distortion lol, would be pretty fun though... Love the look of the thicker spine near the bottom.

If you look at the animation there's a tiny lateral jerk at the bottom of the drop to line it up with the hill after it.

I'm still astounded they could tack on some much extra height and not need additional lateral bracing.

From what I've heard more lateral bracing will be added on soon.

Fortunately Maverick has never relied on stats to be great, so I don't think he'll take it too personally! Seriously though, what 1-2 punch at any park will be better than these two? Either one of them plus Millennium Force could arguably be the second best combo out there depending on your tastes.

This must look absolutely enormous in person. Mean Streak looked huge, and this is way bigger! Going to be a hell of a lift walk for whoever is lucky enough to work this.

You have no idea. Standing in the Haunt, Deprivation, it's insane. You can actually see it from the front gate.

As an aside it wouldn't be surprising to me if there is a goddamned riot every time an ops position opens up on this thing just for the lift walk. It's almost worth being forced to work in Area 3. You could easily pull in 100+ hours a week if you were cross-trained on this and Maverick.

Looks like they've been shaving off the excess lumber and stiffened up the original structure a bit with more diagonal bracing. Maybe they won't need to add more wood to the lift.
