Hi every1

I just bought the RCT3 Deluxe version which includes Soaked and Wild.

It installed fine but when i start playing the game it sets the resolution to 800-600 by default and highest i can use in the game is 1280-1024. I have a 20inch widescreen monitor with a native resolution of 1680-1050 so choosing 1280-1024 will only give me blank screen.
800-600 works but who wants to play the game on that? plus it dosnt even fit the screen properly lol. So pretty much really i cant play the game at all.

I though a widescreen support was added in the expansion packs?
I have tried downloading some patches, however it tells me i do not have the retail verion of RCT installed. I guess it says that as all patches come with the deluxe edition?
This is not a fake copy! i dont download games online, however the game did not ship with a serial no and did not require me to enter one.

I know friend of mine has a 24inch wide monitor and is able to play his game fine with his native resolution.

Please help some1!! is there anyway to set the resolution manually?

I know i should perhaps call Atari but i am busy at work and school during their opening hours.
So if any1 knows how to fix this please let me know.

I'm desperate

Many thanks.

you could try putting your own resolution down to 1280-1024 first and then try to play with those settings... Or else i have no idea how to fix that.

hmm, i'll try it later.. I dont know if the monitor will work properly with that resolution, choosing it in game i just get a blank screen and i need to exit to windows and re-install the game to get the 800-600 resolution back which only works.

also if it does work i doubt it would look good, real shame if you have a good monitor and you are required to use crappy resolution as the details are so much worse :(

Oh well, i have contacted Atari technical support via their ticket system, hopefully i will get some good answers.

There should be a widescreen resolution somewhere in there, it won't be 1680x1050 though. I have the same res and monitor size and I use another ratio I forget what it is though.

I cant see any widecreen in there [confused]
howcome it wont support 1680-1050 thou, would have thought that would be the most popular one??

You will be suprised to see how many people still use the 800x600 resolution on their computer [;)] I'm using myself the 1280x1024 resolution. Not to small and not to big [:)]

I use 1280x1024 on a 8800gts. But in rare instances I have to low the resolution to get it to start. But that's ok
