Re: Screen Shot Saturday Madness!

Hey guys! Ride_Op is on vacation, so it fell to me to do the ScreenShotSaturday this week. Just an FYI, this is my first time managing SSS so I hope that I've done everything right. (sweat) If I have missed anything just let us know and we'll be sure to consider your shots for next week. For now It'...

We agree this is an issue that should be addressed. Fortunately there is a simple work around. The issue comes up when you use "Save As" to save a copy of one of the library objects. Because the library is a special folder structure with its own base directory it is not possible to use the interface...

The initial roll node, identified by the Green Cone, is indeed handled slightly differently than the other nodes on the track and may affect shaping if you place it indiscriminately in the middle of your layout. When you disconnect and reconnect track to fix an element, it's best to also disconnect ...

When you select a node it sets the depth of all additional nodes to follow. How is this different than NL1? Go through step by step what you're having trouble with so that I can better understand the difference you're experiencing.

You may be confusing Blender's unique method of exporting objects with world coordinates as a lack of "parenting". Blender is a bit weird. You need to apply the Transform and Rotation modifiers to each object to inherent the global world coordinate system before you export. Otherwise the objects wil...

Interesting terrain bug you got there, Turbo. If you have any idea how to recreate that please let us know. Also if we can have access to your file some how it would be extremely helpful in figuring out what's going on. A stripped down version with just the terrain is likely all that we would need, ...

In the last line where it says "sco.setTranslation(posOut);", posOut contains the positional XYZ offsets for the scenery object. You can add to the Y component of posOut like this... posOut.y += 0.5f; sco.setTranslation(posOut); Play with the value to see what height works best. You can use negative...

In order for a script to reference a track section, the section must be named. The track section name is set in the section properties in the editor. Double click on a station section and you'll see the "Name" property at the top. The name has to be the same as the one the script is expecting.
