Hey gazag it'll be a while until I get time to take more polished footage from the game...I'm also working on a few costum textures and stuff. I did manage, however, to post a crude POV take on youtube for one of the rides. You can see it here: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube....

(MOVED) Need Help for a project.

Hello! I need help for a rollercoaster related project. I have two excellent rides finished in hyperrails and I would like to make them into polished animations in a video format to be uploaded on youtube. It's not a problem for me to create footage from HR, however, I have no video editing skills a...

Let's recap...Kinzel supposedly was planning a HUGE retirement ride that would dwarf everything (although he recently stated he might stay due to aquisition of the paramount parks but the ride would have already been planned by then). Therefore, it's going to be a huge addition to TTD, based on the ...

Dirk! I just stumbled on your website where you have the equations for G-Forces on accident! Well...sort of on accident, I was looking for a G-Force calculator (I already know the equations), but that was cool anyway. Nice site, I thought I'd share.

Yeah, I saw this last year. It looks like this 'company' has nothing more than the patent, but probably not the capability to actually build it (unless a lot of contracting is done). It would be more realistic if one of the major industries in that field would pick up on it.

Can anyone suggest a (free) program to record in-game/on-screen? I think fraps does it, but I'm not sure. I'm also not sure about frame-rate hits.

The local town hall usually has copies of the blue prints for major constuction projects in the area, but I don't know if they'll let you copy them or even look at them.

New Projects (worth a look even for non-HR users)

I finally have some time to finish some HR projects over sprin break. I know very few (if anyone) still use HR, but I'm finishing them just for fun, although I highly suggest everyone with the program should download them once they're ready. I will switch to NL sometime...in the summer...maybe. I do...

Yup, none of the new Intamin and very few older ones (only Cali Screaming comes to mind, but I'm sure there are a few more) have MCBR, but they use the lift as a seperate block, and usually have 2 blocks in the final brakes and/or dual stations.

I'm into photography. This is a pic that won me first place in a fairly big competition.

Forgive the bad quality and the copyright symbol (I had to take a picture of the print with a digital camera, don't have a scanner right now).

They will use LIM's and mag brakes to use momentum to flip the cars. The wheel assembly doesn't look like it can rotate or twist, so it's limited for vertical movement. It looks like a great concept to me, although I don't think it's feasable unless you go with at least the 20m tall version they off...
