Need help with scenery for "Dark Ride"

Using No Limits, I created a dark ride for my own curiosity and fun. I think it worked. I used the wooden catwalks to create a dark building with individual passageways for the entire length of the track. To be honest, I'm not sure that there is space for scenery, but I can make some adjustments or ...

Ok, I know I'm always in the minority with my opinions (heck, my #1 is the Boss). But I've always liked Mean Streak, and I've had some excellent rides on it. Now, I'm not talking about its current condition. I'm talking about its potential. It doesn't have to be destroyed to be a great coaster. It j...

I was at Kings Dominion one evening with a friend. We were in line for the Grizzly - next-to-back seat. There was a couple in line for the back seat. For those of you who haven't ridden the Grizzly (it's a wooden coaster), when you're in line for the back seat, you can see the structure of the fan c...

I have been on 149 wooden coasters, counting all racers as only 1 (whether mobius or not). I have never really counted the steel coasters, so I've no idea.

I don't believe you'll have a problem getting on your selected rides if you don't waste too much time. Saturday I was there - on a Saturday - for only 2 hours, and I rode Volcano twice, I-305 about 4 times (or more), Grizzly once. That's 7 rides, and we weren't even trying. On a weekday, it's really...

One of the things I've learned lately, when I get there at opening, is to head to Volcano first. This past Saturday, Dominator opened at 10:00, but the rest of the park opened at 10:30. When they dropped the ropes/open the gates (I have a VIP pass, so was down at the 2nd set of gates which KD allows...

Funny - the largest lot of "complainers" about the gray-out are coaster enthusiasts. When I was there the other evening, I heard people in the train as we went up the lift hill each time saying "I hope I black out". So the public (some, anyway) might seem to like that. Also heard someone commenting ...

Just got in from an evening at Kings Dominion. I found the new restraints to be very comfortable, and unlike the prior restraints which were a downside to the ride, these are "just there". I didn't hit them through most of the transitions, and when I did bump it once, it didn't hurt at all. Now if t...

Well, if it's a video card, and if Dell considers that to be hardware, my warranty is in-home fix. So I'll like that. If they consider it to be software, I have to do it over-the-phone, which may not be too good. I'm no computer whiz (but know more than my wife who, with a new computer at work, had ...

Well, I got the blue screen again and wrote down all the info. I'll call Dell tonight. I think it has something to do with the video card. Unfortunately, I can't do anything because the computer boots up and then basically freezes. The error code is "nv4_disp", which, according to Google, seems to b...

Bobcat

I don't think I have ever "advertised" a track. But my Bobcat received only one rating which was removed, so the poor thing is no longer on the radar. Anyone interested in rating it? It's sort of hybrid coaster - a bit of this and a bit of that - more recently "copied" by the start of the Boardwalk ...

I will write down the error number; you're right - I should have. I was just so surprised to see that this morning.... It'll probably be a couple of days before I get to call Dell so it'll probably happen again, if it will allow it to boot up far and long enough to have that screen appear.

Just to provide further information, it appears the problem is more serious than I thought. Yes, it came up very suddenly. It started Tuesday evening. Wednesday, it happened most of the time with NL, but not every time I ran a ride. Today, I found the "blue screen of death" (someone failed to turn t...

Thanks for the suggestions. No, I don't run any 3ds programs, and I hate to admit that I have no idea how to update drivers. I googled that, and looked at the device manager, and was completely confused. I think I'll call Dell, since I paid extra for a customer support warranty.

I don't know that I use any other 3d applications. I said I don't know much about computers. What other 3d applications might I try?

Thanks for the response!

Help with NL computer problem

I've been running NL for several years now, and never had any problem. Last night, though, a problem arose, and it seems to not be going away. It doesn't matter which coaster I'm running in the sim mode - the computer suddenly freezes and/or turns off and reboots. Clearly, something has gone wrong. ...

I rode Intimidator 305 last Saturday (May 29). I thought it seemed quite slow compared to its former self. Sunday night (May 30), it seemed somewhat faster. Fact is, coasters tend to pick up speed during the day. Perhaps that is why it was suggested that some brakes had been removed? However, as of ...

If you pay attention, you can even FEEL the "curve" in the lift hill, especially in a back seat. I've been riding the Comet for years, and never understood why, when they did an extensive rehab on it, they didn't straighten it out. I guess it doesn't matter. It is funny. The Comet used to be a wonde...

To continue the review of Intimidator 305, I just got back from a few rides on it. I rode it when it first opened (I live 20 minutes away), and rode it a few times today. Now it's just useless. The biggest drawback to the ride before were the restraints and the fact that I occasionally banged my jaw...

Well, my opinion of Al Weber seems to be different from many. During his tenure, I watched the local Kings Dominion go from a wonderfully operated, family-oriented park, to a poorly run, cut-to-the-bare-bones thrill ride only oriented park. Budgets were cut, operations went down the tubes, maintenan...

There's another possibility I personally hope could be the outcome; I've heard rumors that Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, which in my opinion, desperately needs a wooden coaster, has not built one due to dissatisfaction with Gwazi. I suspect some of that dissatisfaction is in the maintenance. Had th...

Ok - I guess I'm a wood coaster snob. I usually prefer riding any wooden-tracked coaster over any steel-tracked coaster. The Texas Giant has been on my top ten wood coaster list since its debut. I'm personally sorry about this; as far as I'm concerned, the Texas Giant is now added to my defunct wood...
