I'm happy to go later for the longer opening hours, makes sense. I don't mind going on a Monday or Wednesday either if it means queues will be shorter, but I can't do Tue, Thu or Fri.

Yeah whenever they announce news this always comes up. Your best bet is to use Mac's built in bootcamp and stick a windows partition on your computer, even if it's only a small one just for NL2.

NL2 supports collada files now, and they actually run better in NL2 than 3Ds. The free version of sketchup exports collada, so I suggest you just use that.
