I haven't ridden the Six Flags maintained GIB's but I have ridden a GIB in Parque Warner. That one is well maintained and a very awesome ride...

I've only ridden SFMM's GIB, it wasn't bad at all.

I liked the one at Great America a lot....as in like might have been the best ride there.

Yeah, I rode Deja Vu at SFGAm and I thought it was awesome. The back row is pretty amazing between the heights while facing downwards, the huge vertical drop, the airtime in several spots, and the power through some of the layout. Lots of fun.

I was all hyped when I read "Deja Vu going to mirabilandia", but was than totally dissappointed when I noticed the "Brazil" at the end of the title...

If Mirabliandia can maintain their GIB as well as Silverwood and Parque Madrid do, it should run just fine, better in fact than it did in Six Flags hands. Hopefully, if the park is smart, they will look into a refurbishment (offered by Vekoma) of the ride just as Silverwood did with Aftershock. That way the ride can be rid of all of the extra un-authorized programmed junk Six Flags threw into the ride, it can have fresh parts, and can run like new.

Mirabliandia made a good decision, ressurecting the final GIB from the dead, although the ride will need a lot of work as the general consensus was that SFOG's GIB was the worst, least reliable of the 4.

FYI, Mirabilandia did an absolutely amazing job restoring and saving a 23 years old Vekoma Whirlwind, abandoned for years in the storage of an old closed park:

I really hope Mirabilandia save this GIB.

It took me 5 or 6 visits to the park before I finally got one ride on it the year before it closed. It was surprisingly smooth for an SLC.

As long as MM doesn't rid of ours, then I'm good.

It's a fun and scary concept of a ride, but like many have said, it only works well if the park knows what it is doing.

I say good luck not to the park but to the ride, and hopefully they're smarter than some of the other retards that run other parks.

I have ridden SFMM's and I must say that it is well maintained and I enjoy it... That said, I'm happy this ones in good hands

I don't understand why these are that great of rides... I felt the one at SFMM was uncomfortable, and the whole leaning forward into the restraints vertical was just an uncomfortable unsafe feeling in my opinion.

My experience for Vekoma has been only on their rides which are pretty much at every park (boomerang and their vertical boomerang, (forward and their double faced seats) and they have not been enjoyable) Hence I don't have any good thoughts towards vekoma...

But best of luck towards brazil, hope they make money with it.

I like the "unsafe" feeling (I think most "enthusiasts" do as well)...which is partly why I enjoyed it so much.

^^ If you aren't stapled into your seat by the harness, the airtime on the drops is actually pretty good. The GIB's are pretty smooth too for Vekoma, which is another plus. As for the "unsafe" feeling, I gotta agree with Freddie, it's an awesome experience on any ride.
