i guess people want to get points. But you can't get points with posting in off-topic so, they actually don't have to post this.

what was mentioned above, if people want their AIM name sposted, you'd just have to click the AIM icon in their profiles or posts. I used to have mine up but then I got so many annoying people AIM'ing me so I took it off. Anyway....
