Static Sounds?

I hear static whenever the simulator is running, in addition to the "woosh" sound, I also get static.

I'm running on Vista, if that means anything, but don't recall any issue before 1.7. Any one else having these issues?

(And no, the issue isn't present in other games)

Bummer .. at least I'm not alone, hopefully this is fixed somewhat quickly.
