The Comet is a woodie based off of the 1920-1930's era woodies. It is complete with the crappy trackwork (means no lead-ins or lead-outs for the hills, and improper lead-ins and lead-outs for the turns, with crappy heartlining).

Some more to come before I release it on monday or tuesday.

The track is 99% tool made (the 1% is the connecting track to complete the circuit [:D]). My first track, with elementary wizards.

LOL, it's amusing that you've used the Comet Electronics logo as the logo, heh.

Yes. Now everyone stop telling me that, I know. I've had like everyone tell me that about the logo.

Because I'm using what would have been used back then.

Stop pestering me about them. The trains back then were usually single bench trains, and had an open design, like the GCI trains have.

You're thinking about 2 decades early with those trains.

Now actually study at the roller coasters from the 20s and 30s. They mainly used Morgans.

This looks pretty decent though. Could be great as long as you spend time on making those supports better.

With building older style rides, you've really got to do your research and know what you are talking about before some big NL god comes along and stamps all over your design.

I won't, i don't know I Love You! about woodies. haha

erm, hate to burst your bubble Gerstl! If hes building a twister then they may well have used single bench trains such as the ones used by Harry Traver. Look at clips of the Crystal Beach Cyclone, a 1926 twister i believe, or Lightning for that matter! Typical twisters of the time used trains quite similar to the GCI cars nowadays, just a lot more simple, obviously. hehe. I believe the Airplane Coaster by Prior & Church (1928) used similar trains....

ahaha. 1920's woodies is where my coaster geekness shines through [:)]

It's an out and back.

Coasters at that time usually had single bench trains, that looked very similar to the NL ones.

I have studied the older woodies, particularly around the time mine is based off of. This should confirm my knowledge of the trains at that time: http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/6817 ... 930ll6.jpg

Now, the coaster uses morgan trains: http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/6942 ... 000la5.jpg

I know the supports on the track don't look very good, because of the auto supporter, but whatever, I'm leaving them as is.

Why would you leave them as is when they look bad when you could make them look good?

well if you leave the supports as is, im sure some people will take off for that in the technical area... but it also depends on the size/speed of the coaster... lastly i just want to say that im excited for this and its looking great! [:D]

p.s: if you need testers, im always open [;)] just pm me if you need help with that...

Well, I'll put it out in a bit. It's been on CoasterSims, but has gotten only one rate.
