I'm considering getting a camera just for POVs, and I'm mainly considering a lipstick camera so I could duct tape it to the car and get a pretty smooth POV.

But, I would want to get the opinion from you though.

What would be the best *affordable and *efficient camera to use for POVs?

I don't think many parks will let you duct tape your camera to the train unless your name is Robb Alvey. Just use your current handheld and ask before taking it.

I've done that with my Flip on California Screamin'. The best I could do was exert my strength on holding the camera flat on the surface of the car as tripod, and it turned out kinda good for a first POV, but it's kinda crap.

Not to mention it is illegal to film POV's without permission from Public Relations.

Operators have no right to let anyone on the ride with a camera...they are braking the rules by doing so.

Thats why you do the "not ask method."
Oh you fools and your morals...and park rules.
Lol.

I usually just ask if i'm allowed to record it. In the smaller parks you'd easily get permission. If it's eventually not allowed, their fault...

In Disneyland you can bring your cameras on the ride and film your butt off. Some Six Flags rides allow that as well.
