I am flying this Saturday and want to know what the acceleration Gs are during the takeoff. Are they as much as launch roller coasters?

A lot. You go from 0 to about 145 Knots in about 20 seconds.

The acceleration G's are very low. You go from 0 to about 250mph in about 10 seconds, which is 1.14G's. Kingda Ka's acceleration is 1.65G's to put that in perspective.

How does the Navy have anything to do with the fact that I have a physics degree?

The g forces on take off in a jetliner are nothing like what they are on a launch coaster. I fly quite a lot and have been on enough accelerator coasters to say that they are not even close.

The take off in a jetliner is really cool though, like the feeling you would get in a very quick accelerating car, rather than an accelerator coaster.

They're not as intense as the more intense coaster launches I've experienced in forces (or sense of speed), but there's a good amount of force there and it's sustained for a long time so you really can enjoy it.

My old truck accelerated faster then a 747 on take off, at least until I got to 150.

You had a truck that could reach 150? Our old suburban (the real ones that were a modified Silverado, not the new shitty SUV ones) couldn't even hit 90.
